I was recently introduced to Geocaching. If you know what it is and youve tried it you know how addicting it can be! For those of you who dont know what it is read on...

Geocaching is a high-tech treasure hunting game played throughout the world by adventure seekers equipped with GPS devices. The basic idea is to locate hidden containers, called geocaches, outdoors and then share your experiences online. Geocaching is enjoyed by people from all age groups, with a strong sense of community and support for the environment.

So basically it involves using Multi Billion Dollar Military Satellites to find tupperware in the woods...

As of the date this was posted there are 942,529 active geocaches around the world.

It's a great family activity that lets you get a little exercise and see the world that God has created for us. Grab a GPS and lets go GeoCaching!

Just Thoughts....

We have so much to be thankful for as a Nation. The fact is that all to often we don't recognize the reason that we are so blessed. Our Nation was founded on Godly Principals and was once a God fearing nation. Sadly we have fallen away from our first love and if we don't turn around I fear that we will force God to take his blessings from us. It is our responsibility as Christ Followers to share the gospel with as many people as we can in order to further the kingdom of God.



As we have just celebrated our Independence day, I pray that we don't forget why we were blessed with that independence to begin with. and I also pray that it is never taken away from us.
I hope that you and your family had a joyous celebration this July 4th and took time to remember and pray for our soldiers, both here and abroad as well as their families who are giving so much to defend our freedom.

Good Friends...Good Times

Today I had to work, If you can call hanging out with good friends and spending the afternoon at a National Park work!

Actually I did have to drive down to Ft. Smith just to find out that the problem had been resolved by the customer before I arrived (which tells me that it wasnt much of a problem to begin with) oh well that the way it works.

We met up with some very good friends of our at Pea Ridge National Military Park this afternoon. The kids completed the Jr. Ranger program to add to their resume! the park was having "Battle of Pea Ridge Civil War Heritage Festival" Unfortunatley we got there a bit to late to take part in the activities, We will have to watch the calendar and try again.

We got our National Park Passport stamped...Only the park ranger put the stamp in the wring section of the book...Arkansas is in the "southwest" and we were stamped in the Midwest. Thats ok though because the same thing happened in New Mexico, which is also part of the southwest. The ranger @ white sands put the stamp in the section for the west region.

After driving through the battlefield we went and had ice cream @ the buss stop in Garfield. the Icecream is huge. It more than 1 person should consume. Sarah & I each got a cone and shared with the kids (and everyone had their fill). We had planned to go see a drive in movie this evening, but changed plans on account of the weather forcast. We went to our friends house and had dinner with them and had a great time visiting. It didnt ever rain either - but had we kept our plans you know it would have!

Back to Normal

Vacation is over. Life is back to normal.....What is normal anyway? I've always thought that normal was just a setting on the dryer...but thats not the case anymore, our new dryer dosent have a "normal" setting.

Ive been at a Wal-Mart store in bentonville all night working on an install that has gone by oh so slowly. Somehow the 10pm start time turned into 3am and the rest is history...speaking of normal...hurry up and wait! oh well, i guess ill go home eventually this morning and sleep the day away as I try to recover from sleep deprivation!

Saturday - June 6th

Broken Arrow, OK - Northwest Arkansas

After:

3,385 Miles,

60 Hours in the car,

7 States,

50 Counties,

6 Indian Reservations,

and

150 gallons of gas

we arrived safely back home.

Wouldn't you know that gas would go up just in time for a road trip.

It is good to be home again, although the grass is about 8 feet tall, the mail has to be sorted, and ...you get the idea!

Thanks for joining me and my family as we experienced only a small part of what the beautiful southwest has to offer! I hope that you have enjoyed looking at the photos that I've posted as much as I've enjoyed taking them.
